    Trail conditions...........

Am I the only one having this problem?

I understand we need the rain, my grass really appreciates it and it saves me money because I don't have to water my grass but I am almost willing to pay for a week of water so I can go ride!

I live near Kansas City in Johnson County area and it always seems that on my weekend it is either raining or just rained and all of my local bike trails are closed! They can stay closed up to 2 weeks after a hard rain!

Does anyone know of any trails in the Kansas City area that dry out quickly and are rideable soon after a rain?

    Thanks!

Go to NW Arkansas. Different soils and can be ridden shortly after a rain. You can be on trails within 3 hours of leaving your house.

Trails in the KC area aren't going to be dry for a while. Too much rain and more coming at the end of the coming week.

Switchgrass at Lake Wilson might be dry too. I always call Sunflower Bike Shop in Great Bend to check before heading out that way.

Lawrence River Trails are probably the fastest drying in the area but like Ken in KC said....its not looking too good. I was at Wilson Lake last weekend and they were dry after a day of rain. We all itchin to ride here in KC.

I did notice that Clinton lake up in Lawrence dries some what quick. I rode it a couple weeks ago and it was a few days after a rain.

I have also heard LRT do dry somewhat quick so I am thinking that might have to be my next one if the others near kc don't dry up soon!

Thanks for all of the information on the trails!

I'm with you guys. Driving me crazy!

Where do you guys ride in NW Arkansas? I typically ride Shawnee Mission park and Kill Creek here but thats not happening anytime soon.

    Suggestions would be appreciated.
