    Save Turkey Mountain!!!

I can't believe anyone would want our turf for a commercial entity but hopefully we'll be able to shut 'em down.

    Sign the petition please:

Calvin, I signed the petition, but I would love to know what is the development plan for Turkey. Isn't Turkey a Tulsa park? Who bulldozes a Park? I raced on Turkey way back in the 80's and thought it was one of the better places in OK to ride, and can't understand how it could get developed.

Info is just starting to trickle out about the plan; probably the best info so far can be found here:

I've also never been there, but since it's somewhat local, and a mtb trail I will sign it.

It was an amusement park, resort hotel, and water park. The push back from the community was so strong even the mayor attending the town hall meeting joined our council woman and spoke out against it, there was not a voice to be heard in the packed room in favor of this development.
Score one for the home team!

No way this is going to happen. Plenty of other places on the river that they could put this. The dude that came up with this plan needs to be punched in the nose.

I'm in Sedona biking & just finally read the Tulsa paper article saying even the mayor is against it so hopefully there'll be some nails in the coffin soon.

I'm unsure of the names of all the different trails we rode but 3 that stick out are Mescal and others that link to it northwest of town, Llama southeast of town, and Turkey Creek southwest of town. All rides had other trails that linked or led to those trails.

That town and South Mtn. in Phoenix was by far the most awesome trail riding experience of my life. I thought Crested Butte and Gunnison were incredible but to me Sedona blew them away.
