    OK Trails

Thinking about making my way up from Dallas to do a bit of riding in your fair state for a change in scenery and could definitely use some help in picking a trail. Bike Mag had great things to say about Draper, and I've seen Lake Murray mentioned. Other than those two, are there any trails out east within a few hours drive that are mentionable?

    Cheers

Lake Arcadia, and Lake Thunderbird are two of my favorite places to ride. I might head out there this Sunday. Hope you have a good time while you're up here!

mongo where is the Medicine Park Trail head?

I'm heading to Lawton tomorrow after riding the Wichita Falls trail... Looking to hit Tom Steed and either 12 MOH or Medicine Park. I haven't been in the area in 14 years so any info is appreciated.

12 MOH doesn't get ridden much anymore to my knowledge, so don't know what the trails out there are like anymore I haven't ridden them in years. As for Medicine Park, there is a trail map posted on here under the medicine park or fools dozen thread. If you've never been then stop at Basecamp Adventure Outfitters an see if they are open if so then Mark can tell you where all the trails are an will probably go ride with you if he can. The easiest trail starts just across the dam of lake lawtonka, walk or ride across the dam an you'll see it, good warm up.

Mongo, We did make it to Medicine Park and rode on both sides. The guys from the Basecamp locked the door and went riding with us, which I thought was pretty cool of them too. Sean

I have always liked the trails in this area. Technical and rocky. You don't cover much ground as every foot of trail is an obstacle.

That's true, did they tell you about the trails that have been added east of Mt. Scott on the city property, those are supposed to be pretty good to an it's a longer loop.

We rode most of the Fools Dozen... Good riding, and definitely a tough loop. Lots of room to grow too!
