Quad Cities area has good trails. Look at the trail review area on this site. I printed some stuff out a few years ago when I traveled to Decorah, was looking for a ride or two on the way back but it didn't work out that way. The only thing you'll find in northeast Missouri is at Mark Twain Lake. Haven't ridden them but understand they are somewhat techy largely due to the horses. Don't now much about the Illinois side.
