    Waterproof computer

I want to use a wireless computer to do speed on my MTB. The sensor requires a battery, so there is at least one moving part; the battery case. Is the sensor waterproof enough for water crossings? For washing with a hose? Am I better off w uppity a wired computer/sensor?

I have a Sigma Sport BC12.12 wireless computer on my MTB. I've been out on wet trails, got caught in the rain and washed my bike with a hose without any issues.

I have a Cateye wireless and it's survived torrential tropical downpours and axle-deep water crossings, no problem.
Speed solves all problems, except for those things it makes worse.
