    Upgrade to Edge 500?

Is there any compelling reason to upgrade from my trusty Garmin Edge 305 to the newer 500 model? Looking over the feature list, I can't see any significant advantage of the 305.

Just wondering if I am missing something. Thanks.

Garmin has features on their website. There is a TON of info, hundreds of posts, about the 500 here in this forum.

Like I said, I looked over the list of features, but cannot see any significant/appreciable differences in the feature set of each.

Sounds like you scratched the itch and it is gone. What you have is good enough.

    Not really

The 500 will gain you the abililty to use a power meter.

And you lose the ability to do basic navigation, and to see the bread crumbtrail of the route you have traveled.

500 supposedly has better calorie calculation options.
