Wink S710+PPT5, which IrDA USB would work on Win7_64bit?

    Just got this from eBay
Sadly, this doesn't seems to work on Win7_64bit(orS710/PPT5?),
my S710 is indeed in Connect menu with "Infrared" mode and "COM"s flashing
Win7_64bit did recognize the IrDA USB as SigmaTel IrDA USB dongle but in PPT5, it just stucked on "Connecting to Polar Product" or "Communication port couldn't be opened".

Any other IrDA USB that would work for my S710+PPT5+Win7_64bit?

    Thank you.

I went thru this hassle a couple years ago and finally gave up I'm sorry to say. I know there are a few generic irda dongles that are supposed to work, but you should check the Polar forums for the latest info as this issue has been discussed there for years.

I finally gave up completely on Polar after 20-odd years as a staunch user. They are lost in space when it comes to intelligent product evolution. I went to a Garmin Forerunner 305 and couldn't be happier. I bought SportTracks software for the 305 which is a huge improvement over Garmins Training Center. PPT5 is a joke, a flaky, overpriced POS (ymmv!)

Sorry this doesn't help your predicament much, hopefully you got your 710 for cheap!
