Need workaround for Garmin GSC 10 pedal magnet

The problem I am having is that I have RaceFace Evolve cranks and they have a cutaway on the back so I am unable to mount the magnet per the instructions.

Anyone have a good suggestion for a quick fix without purchasing new cranks???

    Thanks!!!

cut bits out of the rubber computer mount spacers. most shops should have a bunch of extras they'd give you for free, I'd guess.

I have Raceface cranks with the cutout. I placed the magnet right above it, maybe hanging over a hair with the zip-ty side close to the pedal shaft. Working good so far.

Nate has a good idea building up the inside with a piece of hard rubber.

A small round magnet on the end of the pedal shaft works for me.

Yes. I tossed the ugly zip-strap thing and just stuck a small disc magnet I stole from the fridge door on the end of the pedal axle.

If you have a hollow axle on the pedal, you might need a piece of tape over it, if there isn't much metal for the magnet to stick to.

Search amazon for "rare earth magnets". For under $10, you will get a bag full. You can use the spares to pin stuff to the fridge as it were superglued.
