Where do you put the computer? I've noticed that if I put my ForeRunner in my jersey pocket, it doesn't work as well as if I wear it on my wrist.

Also, are you sure it's the Edge-HRM connection that's dropping, and not a problem with the heart rate sensor? In some software, I notice lots of spikes to a 0 HR. I'm not dead, so I suspect a sensor problem.

AndrwSwitch, I put the Garmin on my handle bars and it happened to two different heart rate monitors so I'd bet it isn't the Garmin but I could be wrong. It happened on the trail and when I went on a road ride. I just did the update for the Garmin so I hope that helps...

    Interesting.

I don't have any of the handlebar mount units. So I'm all out of ideas.

This issue has been noted with 305 and 705 in the past due to flapping jersey causing interference - solution was a baselayer over HRM strap. Also, using a conductivity gel will insure against loss of signal.

I'm wearing one of those loose fitting moisture wick a way shirts or whatever they are called and I used both the bontrager and garmin heart rate sensors. They both dropped the signal when used with the 510 on the road and the trail...I have not used it since I downloaded the software upgrade...
