    Help w/ Garmin Nuvi 1350...

Just got one for fathers day from the wife. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with one. I don't need it strapped to my bars, I'd just like to load maps to view at stops and track my rides. What do you think?

I just got one also, on sale @ amazon.

Though I am not sure how much can be done with it for MTB since its an automotive GPS system.

It does have a travel mode selection in the options that has other travel methods other than car so maybe there is something that can be done.

So bump for your post, anybody have any ways for us to incorporate the1350 into a MTB use?

I use a 1350 in my car, I would think it would be way too bulky with too short of a battery life to be of any use on a bike

I went to REI and tried to load maps onto but it didn't work, I'm thinking of a GPS attachment for my iPod. But I want to see some reviews first...

you're better off with a small handheld GPS, but if you're going to buy a GPS attachment for your ipod, the only one I've seen that's rugged enough to use outside is the Magellan Toughcase.
