    Help with GPS

Any suggestions on getting a GPS unit that will work both on the bike and could also be used for driving directions (car)? Looks like the Garmin 605 and 705 would work but I am unsure. I would be using it equally as much for both (theoretically).

I use the Garmin Map 60CSx for riding and in the car. I used it on a car and bike tour of the length of California a few month ago and it worked perfectly. Go to this link for a review of the GPS units used for bicycling. The 605 and 705 are pretty expensive for use in the car though.

    or the 76Csx

You should make sure whatever you get supports turn-by-turn directions for in car use. Other than that it's a comprimise between needs. I.E. smaller screen and overal smaller unit works better mounted on a bike but a larger screen works much better when navigating in a car or hiking.

I have the 60csx and use it for both. Very nice unit and has removable micro sd storage. Very nice for quick switching between mapsets I have stored as opposed to having to download over and over. Not sure the Edge series supports removable memory or not.
