    Garmin and Windows 8

Just bought a new computer which runs the new Windows 8. Not working getting Garmin's Webuploader to upgrade version of firmware for Garmin Forerunner 210.

Thinking of buying an Edge 810 for the bicycle. Is there compatibility issues with Windows 8 and Garmin? Want to be able to upload trails maps, rides, etc.

Any help appreciated before spending $$$ for 810 and/or hours of aggravation.

Can't speak for the 810 but 800 works fine in Win 8 and Explorer 10. You can always run Chrome as another browser. Occasionally when IE does act up I use Chrome for up and down loads and it works fine.

Thanks for the good news. I've had a bunch of Windows 8 compatibilities issues (in general) and specifically with some mapping software and just wanted to preemptively make sure it would not be a problem. Sent Garmin an e-mail from their website asking such, but never got a reply, which made me even more wary. Gonna hit the BUY button today.
