    Garmin Training Center bug

I have GTC version 3.3.4. I think this was just updated to this version. Now when I try to add a course point, it wont let me select a symbol. That box is blank. Then if I add the point, and close GTC, the next time I open it, it crashes.

    Anyone else having this problem?

I have the same thing happening, and it also has problems uploading/downloading courses onto my 305HR

    Hey guys,

    Try updating Training Center:

    Change History
Changes made from version 3.3.4 to 3.4.1:

    * Fixed problem with coursepoint icons being missing in the coursepoint dialog.

Thanks. Automatic update does not appear to have this update yet.

Automatic updates are always 3 to 4 version back. You want real fun? Sign up for e-mail notifications of updates on the Garmin site. I have two GPSers, and have probably signed up for 8 updates, and not one e-mail in two years. Garmin's understanding for "automatic" is vastly different than yours and mine.

Bookmark that page that Krein gave, and check it once a month or so.

Or better yet, get TopoFusion. The new cadence / power / heart rate support is awesome. I set it to show shading based on heart rate, and during playback, I can see how much exertion it takes to get up a climb. Awesome!

I have a (now) old Garmin eTrex Legend. I got it when it was almost new to the market and signed up for email alerts to updates. Like you I've never gotten a single email about upgrades (and I do check my junk mail before deleting it) despite the software having been updated several times.

Anyone having problems with courses being uploaded/downloaded? I've got a 305HR and I can't upload/download courses to GTC, or upload a course from GTC to my GPS.

I just added one today, and one last week with no trouble. For each one, I used a downloaded track from a ride, converted to a course, renamed it, and uploaded.

GTC 3.4.1 that Krein mentions above.

Thats the same version I have.

It all seemed to work when I first installed the software. I may end up uninstalling the software, and going back to disk that came with my gps

Here is a link to a site that has all versions of all Garmin software. It can be handy to roll back a version or two in times like these.
