    Garmin map on SD card

I sent an email to Garmin, but thought I'd ask here as well. I bought city navigator map from garmin a few months ago, downloaded it to an SD card for use on my edge 705. Just got an edge 800, plan to sell the 705. But card won't read in the 800. Anyone know how I make the card work with the 800 instead of the 705?

A bit late reply, but: You can try to copy the map off the SD card, reformat the card, put it in the new device, and copy the map back in. Look in the SD card for the Garmin folder, inside there should be a file called gmapsupp.img Drag that onto your desktop, then format the sd card, then copy the file back onto the card in the new device.

I think you have to create a folder called Garmin and then drop it on there. Essentially you would have two folders. One with all the stuff for the gps and then one you made. worked for me on my GPSMAP62S
