    Garmin 305 got wet

I was on a ride a couple weeks ago and got caught in a good rain shower. My 305 got wet and by the end of the ride had a little fog on the screen. I turned it off and spent the next two weeks trying to dry it out before turning it back on. So I charged it and the screen showed charging and charge complete but could not get the screen to come back on. I tried holding the power button down for a minute to try and reboot with no luck. Any ideas?

I swam with my 305 Forerunner not realizing that it wasn't designed for it. I ended up sending it back and exchanging it for a refurb for like $80-90.

My 76CSx swam in a cold river for half an hour once. Water got inside, I turned it off, opened the case, dried it with a hairdryer, and let it sit overnight before turning it back on again.

    Try a hard reset:
    Garmin Edge Reset

Power + Lap = hardware (hold 10 sec)
Mode + Lap = software (hold 10 sec)
    Lap + Start/Stop = data purge (hold 10 sec)
