    Cateye Strada wired?

I was looking at the Cateye Strada computer. I am wanting a wired unit that will allow rear wheel sensor mounting and have a large speed display with odometer. Simple. I want it to be water resistant, as I can and do ride in the rain. The only issue with the wired Strada is that I have to buy the unit, then buy the long wired sensor separately, then buy the optional bracket holder separately (because the included bracket thing is hideous, I would rather have something simple that I can attach with zip ties), and after it is all done I would have spent ~$70 for a $40 computer. Does anyone know of a good wired unit that can be had for less than this?

Performance bike has one they used to call the axiom 08c. I've owned a bunch of them before I went Garmin GPS. It has a rear wheel sensor and cadence sensor. It went for $30 last I bought one.

I did a quick search and apparently that unit is discontinued and no longer available from anywhere I could see.

Well, dang. If you're gonna set fire to $70 on a computer, it seems to me somebody makes a wireless for that much money. It's probably more reliable in the rain anyway, with no exposed contacts to corrode. Heck, if you're gonna blow $70, may as well blow $100-120 and go GPS.... or find a used Garmin Edge 305 for under $100.

I don't want a wireless unit and I don't want GPS. I want a wired unit attached to the rear wheel. Did you read the OP?
