Cateye Strada Wireless on Trek 3700

I'm looking into picking up the above mentioned computer for the bike I just bought... Reading into it, the 70cm part from the handlebar down to the sensor seems reasonable, but the 5mm from the magnet to the sensor is my question... 5mm is pretty tiny. Under 2/10 of an inch. Do the spokes come that close? I only ask without measuring myself because I was trying to order it today and I'm not near my bike for two days!

    TIA!

Well - It's on Amazon for a great price and they are good with returns if need be. After reading more comments, I'm confident it'll work okay. I read the 5mm rule isn't a definite deal breaker... As long as the magnet is in a good line with the sensor people have said it will be okay.

I'll report back for the sake of the thread!

I have a Cateye Strada, and the magnet distance doesn't seem to be as critical as they say it is.

FYI I mounted my magnet where the spokes cross -- very solid, and the angle lines up with the sensor.

If the Sigma mount is like the Strada, put a little zip tie around it to keep it from bouncing off. I lost mine and Cateye would not sell me another.

    Really appreciate those pictures!

Also, I was thinking of the wrong Greek word when I wrote sigma... lol. Strada is the one I got, and it arrives today. I'll definitely do the zip tie, thanks!
