Can you view total elevation ascent real-time with Edge 500?

Hey guys, for some reason I'm not seeing this option in the menus. I see where you can view the grade you're ascending/descending, and the ft per hour (which I believe changes depending on how fast you're going) but I don't see total gain. I always have to wait find out later when I've upload my data to the computer. Is this not something you can see while riding?

Yes, you can display it. You have to select it for one of the fields. I think it's called total ascent or something like that. When I had a 500 I set it up that way. Have my current 800 set up like that too.

    Yup, it's called "total ascent".
Speed solves all problems, except for those things it makes worse.
