Brand new heart rate monitors for £7!
Ebay of course.
Sellers are in Hong Kong. The product is a watch that claims to monitor and record heart rate without external sensors.
It actually looks fairly good. But £7....it cannot be, surely.
Sellers have multiple positive feedback but it's not possible to identify which of the items from the thousands they have sold, are these.
I have ordered one just to see what comes, and if it works.
It is returnable so there's nothing to lose.
Post the results, I'm interested in it lol.
The watch arrived, and it does work. For under £7 (about $10) it seems very good.
However the heart rate monitor, while it works, requires you to place a finger on a sensor on the top of the watch, so using both hands.
So impossible to use while riding a bike. Well, not impossible, but impractical.
After a few seconds the the final reading is displayed, and it does stay on the screen for about a minute (lower picture)
Maybe ill pick one up, any idea on the accuracy

I don't know. But I'm getting a Garmin Edge 500 for Christmas so will report back on how the readings compare to that.
Standing on my York T500 treadmill, that recorded my heart rate as 70 while the watch said it was 73.
