    Bontrager 4W 187mph while stationary?

I have a Bontrager 4w that seems to be mysteriously picking up miles when on my bike rack while at work. I have on a few occasions found my computer reads a max speed of 187mph and accumulated a hundred miles or so while on my bike rack. I have a saris Thelma which does not allow the wheels to spin. I am not sure if it is getting this reading while sitting at the parking lot at work (in the sun) or while actually in transport. I will verify the reading today while transporting. My LBS says it could be the vibration between the sensor and magnet. Should I try a new battery? While actually riding the screen and all functions are normal.

After thinking about the problem, I have noticed i never had this problem when I owned my subaru suv. Seems odd but my new vehicle has one of those proximity keys. I think it always sends out some type of signal. Example when I am close the the vehicle I can unlock without putting a key in and it is a push button start.

Could the signal of my SUV key cause the issue with a wireless bike computer?

Yep it is the proximity key. Remove the computer from the holder and the problem goes away
