    Automobile GPS question

I'm looking at getting a new GPS for my car. A feature I would like to see is the ability to preplan a route on my computer and transfer it to my GPS before I start the trip. I presently have Street Atlas mapping software but would be willing to use other programs if needed. Also the ability to route to the closest road to a set of coordinates would be nice. the last car GPS could not do either of these tasks.
thanks to any GPS hero who can help.

    Cheap, easy, intuitive.

If you have a smartphone w/gps chip, you can just get the software.

My GPSMap 60Csx can do this. Plan a route in MapSource, then transfer it to the unit.
