New question here. Any news from Garmin from the Eurobike 2012?

    Hi,
Eurobike just finished this weekend, are there any news/ updates from Garmin?
    Any new product announcements?
I haven't seen anything yet, kind of silence on Garmin's end, isn't it?
    Cheers

I noticed over this weekend that REI is selling the bundled Edge 800 for $499.99 on sale from $649.99. That seems a bit unusual to be. Could that be a sign of them wanting to clear out existing inventory for the new model?

    A bit of a stretch, I know... :-)

No, that is not unusual. I got my Oregon 450 from there at this time in 2010 at a price I didn't see again for a year. I still don't see it at that price often. REI has good sales

    There was this update:
Garmin fenix, Forerunner 10, Edge 900, Vector GPS and Heart Rate Monitors | Mountain Bike Review

Which calling that an "update" is a pretty liberal use of the word as it really provides no details other than "they are working on it". Appears the 800 is due to be replaced / upgraded but doesn't appear to be close at this time. They say "this Fall", but given the lack of detail and Garmin's track record on things lately, I'd put it at Q1 2013.

    Thanks!
Indeed, not a lot of announcement/ news, very strange, I would have expected that Garmin would use the Eurobike (as the biggest show!) for new announcements, new products, etc.
    Mhmm...

Garmin (an American company) could be waiting for interbike later this month to show new product.

I am just hoping for improved (restored) GPS sensitivity.

Valid point, I totally forgot Interbike, maybe because the last times, Garmin announced their stuff at Eurobike, or at least presented their newest stuff.
Well, let's hope they bring the cools stuff along at Interbike :-)
