    XTC Bar Change

Newbie here with a brand new XTC. I'm having some Q's about cockpit fit as I feel like I'm falling slighty forward onto the bars. I do not have any pain but I can feel the pressure on the palms.

I was wondering if I could ditch the flat bar and go with a small or medium rise bar instead? Would that mess with the design of the bike geometry?

I'm just a XC or trail rider who's riding mostly groomed trail/ pavement for now. Would a bar change help with the pressure by getting me a bit more upright?

Has any one swapped out the flatbars? If so with what?

Ya, change it you feel like it is not right for you. I changed out the flat bar for Easton 70 bar. Very happy with it. I am now going to change out the stem for a 20 deg stem to see if I can rise them even more. Go for it!!!

You will be able to raise up the front end easier as well.

Another vote for the Easton EC70 carbon bar.

Put them on my Anthem x29 last year. They transformed the cockpit feel. 20mm of rise and the added sweep just felt right.

They drop a bit of weight from the stock alum bar as well.

Thanks for the input. Saturday I'll be on the trainer at the LBS seeing what we can do to get me a bit more comfortable. An EA70 was the bar I had in mind.

Just put the Easton 20 degree stem on mine today. Feels good on the street. Will report after I ride it tomorrow.

I also need to change the flat bar on my Anthem to Easton EC70 as well. Which one do you guys recommend? 31.8mm or 25.4mm riser?

    Hi Jay55,

31.8mm refers to the clamp diameter.

Link below is the bar I fitted to my Anthem x29.
