    XCT Alliance 1

Is the Giant XCT Alliance a good all-round bike? I like the light carbon aspect to the frame and the race quality but and there's always a but! Can this bike transfer to more aggressive trail and handle jumps of around 2-3ft?

    Hi, check out my thread

I'm thinking about the same thing!

I talked about it with a guy from polish forum. He has Giant Alliance and he also owns a STP jump bike. He told me that Alliance is made for tough XC and if you are light you can ride it a bit hard ;] But it has a flexy rear end and a brake rotor bigger than 160mm can rub your frame on fast corners. Whats more , the frame doesn't feel so good with 120mm fork as with 100mm one.

But I think I would go for it ;D

and that is a pic from Pinkbike (the owner has more pics in his gallery) The fork has 120mm
