Will Giant offer compatible 27.5 swingarm for old 26" Trance X?

I'm hoping perhaps a replacement 27.5 swingarm will fit on my 26r trance X. Anyone from Giant know if that is a workable idea?

I'd be very surprised if Giant went for it.

I know, they want to sell me a new bike. But I was curious if the longer swingarm would fit the old 26 shock and linkage, I would assume its only longer....but then again all the specs could have changed. If it was able to mount, I could just order the new part and install it.
