Fork - I started out on a 2002 AC Air Lite with a Psylo. It kept on leaking and was not stiff enough for the technical XC riding I like to do. I upgraded to a 2003 Manitou Sherman Firefly with a 20mm QR up front. What a difference! It's amazingly stiff and plush.

Rocker plates - depends on the year. I broke the '02 frame and got a warrantied 2003 AC-1 frame with a Swinger Four Way! Up to and including 2002's - they were adjustable from 4.5 to 5.15 to 6 inches. 2003 - 2004 are 5.5 and 6.5 (claimed 5.3 and 6.5, but the plate shows 5.3 and 6.3) I've never ridden with the thing in anything but the long travel setting, and I do plenty of XC riding.
