not sure how much i will get. paid 2100 for it with 5 day old contact switch seatpost. I think it is a total loss. what you see is heat and smoke damage.

Calling all Trance X ADVANCED owners

    Hey guys, need help/advice...

Has anyone cracked or broken their frames or rear triangle?

I was washing my bike yesterday (Trance X Advanced SL 2010) when I noticed what I thought was a scratch on the chainstay (non-drive side) about an inch from the pivot bearing, I didnt think much of it untill I looked at the oposite chainstay (drive side) and saw the same but smaller above the metal plate that protects the stay from chain slap, this spooked me as its too much of a coincidence.

Has anyone seen any or heard of the the chainstay breaking on the Trance? A quick search of the web revealed loads of Yeti frames breaking in this exact area!!...I'm now worried my pride and joy is unrideable.

How can I prove this isnt a scratch but a hair line crack?

    Love carbon/hate carbon

Any advice would be very welcome - Thanks

    your frame is permanently ruined.

If you give me $10 I'll trade you my '08 aluminum frame for yours (if its a size M)

    clean her up...

I just sold my 2011 SL1 and bought a 2011 SLO frame and X3. As soon as I'm done building these beauties up I'll post pics.

How often do you guys service your trances and does it include suspension and shock servicing? My bike's almost a year old, haven't rode it since I got injured last August, but my dad has been cycling with it occasionally.

    I miss riding my bike.

Does everyone else with a carbon frame have 2 holes in there down-tube near the BB like I do?

    My bike:
    2011 TX3 with a few mods...
    - ZTR Flows on Hope Pro Evo II Hubs
    - Race Face Atlas bars
    - ODI Grips
    - XT Brakes & Rotors
    - Shimano Trail Pedals

I've got some LUSTY Ardents on the way and I'm looking to try out a new saddle and post and that will do for the upgrades I think. A new drivetrain once the current one has completely worn maybe

    Where I ride sometimes:

    Van Cruz,

My 2011 SL0 frame has the two holes you're referring to. No need to be worried
