It may be a bit early but lets start showing everyone the newest Trance X 29er. Also, please post up any changes from stock you've got and the reason for the upgrade.
GO!!
(I'm getting mine in the next week or two and will be adding mine to this list then. So pumped!)
"You can become a very fast donkey, but you'll never be a thoroughbred..."
Sold my Anthem X4 29er to get a Trance X 29er. Quick question for those that own them. Those of you that have all your cables running internally...did your LBS bleed and route the rear brake for free, or did you take on the task yourself?
FWIW - My bike came with everything routed internally by the LBS.
And, yes, the seat is the only thing I don't like about this bike. Not only is it hard in all the wrong places (you know what I mean ...), but after only two weeks, the color is rubbing off. I'm looking at a WTB Deep-V.

One thing giants always been poor at was making a saddle IMO. Its the very first thing I replace! WTB FTW
I do all my own stunts, but never intentionally...
WTB Silverado for me. Unfortunately our shop charges to internally route the rear brake. Personally, I think it's BS. Anyone spending $2k - $4300 should get the cables run the way they should've been from the manufacturer.
Called the LBS to see when the box would arrive and find out they had just finished building it!
28 lbs 15 oz. stock with my Time pedals. Hate the bar! Already swapped it. Will prob remove the dropper for a carbon post I have. Gonna enjoy dialing it in. Can tell I will LOVE the XT brakes. The saddle is a freakin joke. swapped for WTB Pure. I think I can get it to 27ish with my endurance wheels (Arch EX with Ikon/RR tubeless), carbon post. Use the dropper and Nobby Nics for my Northern travels. Crappy cell pics for now.
First ride today, does EVERYTHING that Giant says and more.
Only mods done are some ESIGrips Chunky blue and XT Trail pedals.
Most amazing bike Ive ever ridden.
JTAC, I noticed you ride an X2 but sold an X1. May I ask why the change in bikes?
Nice pics btw, thanks guys. Keeps me stoked for the week or two I still have to wait to get mine. Keep them coming plz.
I was/am not that impressed with Fox's suspension and shocks. Odd coming from someone who has ridden all Fox their whole life. It always feels like there is too much sag. Getting replacement parts is like pulling teeth. If I were given a X0 or X1, I would swap all Fox out for Rock Shox instead.
Just posted in the intro thread, cross posting pics here.
Grips changed to lizard skin chargers but with the locks changed to the ODI anodised blue.
Jet black anodised blue seat clamp - I broke the bolt on the giant one due to over tightening. This gave me an excuse to get a torque wrench
XT 785 trail pedals.
