Subscribed. I think I have an issue with my rear shock and want suggestions too.

i believe the shock is a 184mm x 44mm which is only available aftermarket from SRAM with the monarch line.

I don't want to hijack someone's thread but I think this is rellavent. I called fox and they gave me an RA number so that I can send in the shock for repair. They said they would have the shock for 7 days and then mail it back express.
Very pleasant company to deal with.

Have you tried calling Push Industries to see if they are able to revalve the shock? I've had several shocks custom valved by them and they do an amazing job. It rides nothing like the original shock and it is custom tuned to your bike, your weight, and your riding style. I'm not sure if they work on CTD shocks yet, but I'm thinking of sending it to them once my CTD from my Trance 29er needs service. The Factory Tuning System is what you would ask for.
I stopped driving my bike into my garage - I'm now protected with Roof Rack Ranger app for my iPhone.

That's a great suggestion for the original poster. I am trying to drop another 30-40lbs. When I get to my target weight then hopefully push can dial the shock in.
I've had motorcycle suspensions custom tuned and it made a big difference in lap times, stability and consistency. I'm sure it would be the same for a MTB.
