    Suggestions for Anthem front derailleur

My new 18" Anthem 2 just arrived at my LBS. I am having them pull all the Shimano components, and replace with SRAM x.9 - looking to build a completely "Shimano-Free" setup. Had planned on putting the SRAM x.Gen front derailleur, but in looking at the specs., they don't think it's going to fit. The mounting bracket is higher than the Shimano, and would extend onto the flared section of the tube, possibly even hitting the lower rear shock pivot.

Anyone replaced the front derailleur on an Anthem, or have suggestions on something else I could try?

    Thanks for any ideas ...

you may have to compromise (!) and go with a big-S FD, maybe an XT. what's more, so people have found the X-Gen a bit hit and miss in terms of chain-rug; far moreso than the XT. mind you, i have a couple X-Gen and like them. but i don't think there's any other choice is there?

    - Giant NRS Composite - Giant XTC2 - Giant TCRCzero - Giant OCR1 -

    - nothing stock here - move right along now -
