Shock upgrade on Giant Warp DS1 2003

Any one has done this?? I know not so many would spend $300 of shock on a $800 bike but given the frame really can stand some seasons, maybe is it worthy??

Ebay. Plenty of low and zero time Cne Creek and Fx shocks at bargin prices that would be perfect matches for your bike. With some smart sniping you could probably eek out a deal for under $100.
