I would like to know the final weight when you get the rest of the goodies on her! She is pretty! (you need wider bars tho!)

what is this shock, and most importantly, how did you get it mounted to the lower pivot?

    It is an Elka.
I mounted it to the lower pivot with all the stock hardware. I'm not sure why you would ask that?

Cause the new frames, (well Reigns and Reign X frames at least), don't use reducers or bushings in the lower shock eye. So it can be tricky mounting something aftermarket that doesn't have the same size requirements!!!

And also, holly crap your seat's WAY back there!!!

I have 08 frame, and don't think anything other than fox can be mounted with the stock hardware diameter. I wish I was wrong because I have my eye on a manitou isx-6 but the eyelet is just too small.
probably elka has took this into consideration when building your shock (isn't this built to order? we don't get to see many elkas across the pond)

Actually I thought 08 Reigns use normal bushings and reducers in the shocks, just like my 09 Reign X. (Thought it was only the 2010 Regin X's and then the 2011 Reigns that have the new set up???).

And then even with the new set up you can still use different shocks, just not necessarily with the stock hardware... (ask Krispy on the 2011 Reign thread)

on my frame the through bolt that acts as the pivot and lower shock mount is too big in diameter for all available shock eyelets except fox. hell, even for fox, you should take the bushing off to allow the bolt to go through.
will check the guy you are referring to for possible solutions. thanks.

My 09 uses just a bolt, and a DU bushing on the bottom shock mount. No reducer. As far as I know, most shocks will fit, you just have to remove the reducer.

Guess it makes sense that it's different since the Reign has had more frame updates than the X. Thanks!
