I never owned a bike that wasn't bought at a department store then 3 years ago here in Colorado I bought a Yukon just to see if I like mountain biking and boy do I. The Yukon did well for me and the riding I do but fell short when Me and the boys went for the hard rides.
Here's where I need help, I stepped it up a few notches and went and ordered a Reign 2 after looking into it a bit. I'm a bigger rider so I thought the bike fit me better than a crosscrountry bike like a NRS. I've seen alot on here about the Reign and most seems positive but am still worried about spending this much GAK on a bike. I love trail riding, fast downhill, and jumps. Is the Reign 2 good for a 6'2", 225 lbs rider or not? hope so.....
Also, If you have any tips on up grades let me know.
I'm a bit like you, never ha d a fancy bike but wanted to start to get some excercise and also have some fun so bought my cheap DB COIL X and am really loving it. 10 months later and it's time for a new bike.
Why would you say "fit me beter"? Do you mean fit your riding style better or the actual geometry?
All I've read a bout the Reign bike has been glowing praise from some new happy owners. Myself I decided I don't need the 6" of travel and went Trance with it's 4" travel and am truly looking forward to getting and riding my new bike. Not sure about how it will hold up to your size/weight but ti tloks like a strong bike.
The Reign is pretty sturdy. I think you'll be fine. It is not an all out freeride rig, but it is pretty beefy. I've been really happy with mine. Only had it for a week, but I've had 5 really good rides on it and have loved every one. Actually gets better each ride.

GOING FROM A YUKON TO A REIGN, DUDE...YOU WON'T KNOW YOURSELF, YOUL BE ABLE TO RIDE STUFF WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED...( CHILDREN DONT TRY THIS AT HOME..) YOUR FUN FACTOR WILL QUAD DRIPLE..6 INCHES = 6XMORE FUN...I SAY THIS PRESUMING YOUR A TRAIL RIDER AND NOT A RACER BOY. IF YOUR AIM IS TO KEEP IN SHAPE AND HAVE MAX FUN AT THE SAME TIME, GET IT......
All I meant was that the frame looked sturdy and hopefully it has enough suspension for my wieght.
