Putting a Talas 150 on a Yukon FX?

I'm thinking about upgrading my bike from it's current '09 Talas 150 32.

My girlfriend has a 08 Yukon FX, a 4" bike, with a 100mm Rockshox Dart 2 on the front. Switching to the Talas would knock a pound off the bike and make a much plusher ride.

Is it a bad idea to have 5.9" on the front and 4" on the back?
Will this completely screw up the geometry?

At least will raise the front end making it very nervous while climbing, the front will try to lift all the time but if you're not caring about voiding the warranty give it a try.

Warranty on 3-4 year old second hand parts and bikes?

I was thinking about that bad angle for climbing and raising the BB, but she could put the TALAS in 110mm then it would only be 10mm over the Dart 2?

It would be just fine at 110mm. Plus she might enjoy the ability to slacken it out on down hill sections.

Sounds like a fun bike to me.

@ 110 it will be fine, just a tad high on the bb and hopefully not as nervous when climbing, should be fun on the rough.

Obviously not leaving at 110 at all times... what about at 150 on the descent?

I run a 80-130mm Talas on the front of my 2012 Yukon FX with it constantly set at 130mm and I love it. For the kind of riding I like to do, the slightly more slacked out front end handles better; and climbing has not been a problem for me as long as I stay in the crouch position to keep weight on the front end through the steeps.
