2013 XTC 2
I have carried out the obligatory reflector (and bell!) removal. Also pulled the stickers off the rims (one was already lifting) and most of the ones from the fork. Shimano DX PD-MX30 pedals and makeshift chainstay protector (zip tied strips of polypropylene) are the only modifications as yet. Single chainring and chainguide are waiting in the wings until I get the necessary tools to install them.
Does anyone know what the black on silver "2" sticker means?

Here in Australia last year there was a choice between the "XTC 29er 0" and "XTC 29er 2".
Here is my Revel. Not a lot of frills but it gets me there.
Crossposting from the SS section.
This was my last rigid frame before I got a FS bike. Thought of selling it, or at least trying. But since it wouldn't be worth that much money, and as I had some parts laying around, decided to go for a SS build and keep a second bike for some rides around the block and to roll on asphalt easily.
This is a 01' XtC 840 and during 11 years has seen three different builds, being this the third. And I can't say it will be the last! Still rides well, and that stem/steerer has been the best ever combo I have put my hands on. Still haven't find anything that comfortable.
Currently has it can be seen, I'm using it as a SS, road oriented, bike.
My 2012 Talon 0 with my new Schwalbe Hans Dampf's set up with the Stans No Tubes tubeless conversion kit.
Nice Giant hard tails on this thread. I have a 2010 Talon 0 26er that I have slowly built up with parts to just how I want it. I notice that most of the Talons are 29er and that 26er may not have been available in the States. For my riding on single track as well as XC I'm happy with the 26er though curious at the difference feel of a 29er. I will post some pics soon.
Currently its is setup as follows:
Rock Shox Reba RLT 120mm (2012)
wheels - Mavic 721/HopePro
brakes - SLX Hydraulic disc 180/160mm
drive train - XT/SLX RD and Casette
EastonEA70 Bar, EA90 Stem
SPD Clipless - dual platform
I now have three giant's ...
a shame as Brazil have few choices of giant
ATX 770 - 1993
ATX - 2011
Revel - 2012 - wife
Giant Talon 0 (2010)
As mentioned above, this is how she's looking nowadays...
I still cut down the steerer tube eventually. When the time comes I will upgrade the crank set to SLX.
Rides very well and currently weighs around 27lbs or 12.2kg.
The frame is definitely quality, not the lightest but strong and rigid.

Wow...great job on the frame!...I plan to powdercoat my XTC 29 0 blue at some stage, the solid colours look better in my opinion...
Thanks, it was a rebuild right from the frame up. Only stock parts left are frame, forks and saddle. Waiting on sticker kit, was going to leave it blank but I printed a nice black giant logo and taped in on the down tube and it set the bike off so I orderd a kit.
Parts list as follows
Shifters and derailleurs X9
Brakse Hope Tech M4 both sets
rotors 185 front and back Hope floating saw blades
Bars Truvativ Carbon T20 700 MM
Wheels Stans ZTR Arch EX on Hope pro hubs front and back
Cranks raceface ride 175 mm
Chain rings raceface Turbine 26 and 36 2 X 10
Bottom Bracket raceface Press fit BB92
Seatpost raceface Next SL carbon
Saddle stock Giant
cassette Shimano XT 11x36 10 speed.
I haven't ridden this frame since I bought my TranceX in 2010. It's a 2003 Yukon HT. It's my first bike and I'll never sell it. It's currently a frame only and I'm going to strip and repaint this winter for a SS build next spring. I do miss riding a HT at times.

My '05 Giant Yukon, with virtually no OEM parts. Jack's got a lot of sentimental value.
Giant Revel 1
Picked it up on Wednesday. First MTB.
