    Overdrive 2 fork replacement?

I'm gonna be picking up my Giant in the next month or so and it has the Overdrive 2 standard fork/headset size. Attempting to plan for down the road, I want to know what my options will be to replace the fork. Obviously if that's gonna happen the fork would need to be the Overdrive 2 size of 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 which limits the choices to searching for used Giant OEM Overdrive 2 forks or, the much better option, of finding a headset that would reduce the top cup to 1 1/18 so that it'd fit all the other tapered forks on the market. Does anyone know who makes a headset which would will convert the overdrive 2 headset to a regular tapered headset? Chris King or Cane Creek?

    Thanks

Also, who else besides Giant makes a stem that fits the 1 1/4 steerer tube?

Any ZS 1 1/8 top part will fit... It is just the headset top part which is different, the headtube of the frame has std tapered dimensions. Use tje search button.

Check out the Syntace website for specs and available models. I've got the F109 but there's a few others. Other than that—and perhaps one other company that escapes me—I think you're right, it's just Giant. Giant do make that huge rectangular slab of carbon as well as the stock stem that will come on your bike and others.

    Wink

Thanks Rapsac for being a ****** (involves female hygiene) about it but I did "use the search function"... I think the mtbr members may have more to say on the subject.
