One question, why do you call it 04.5. Had these in my shop last December.

    Very nice!
I believe the 04.5 just refers to a new color selection.

this is the 2004 NRS 2 Disc...nothing special here. the rim-brake version was red if i recall correctly. this bike has specs closer to giants older NRS 2's, as opposed to the rim-brake version which had lesser specs.

    anyhow....

[edit] the 04.5 name was probably given to it because it (and the 04 NRS 3) was released after the 04 nrs 2 (rim-brake) came out due to market demand.

I was told that bike was going to be the 2005 in Aus. Our 2004 NRS2 already comes stock with Hayes hydros..... and that the bike above is the new 2005 NRS2.
Sure looks sweet, but apparently isn't coming out for another 7weeks here.....
Heres a pic of the Aus 2004 NRS2, I don't like the colour as much as the 2005.

I will gaurentee you that that Black pictured NRS 2 is an 04. Got the RED 04's back in Sept of 03 and then got the BLACK 04's with disc drakes in Dec. of 03. 04.5 makes now sence since that bike has not changed since I got them back in Dec of 03. As for the 05 NRS, I can also gaurentee that no one here in the states can tell you what color is going to be or how they are spec'd unless you are a designer at Giant. The US Giant national sales meeting is not until mid Aug. and that is when we will have a chance to see the new line-up....
