    need help on giant bike

    hey

well since i wont get paid for my training till next year this means that i will have more time to save for a bike

so i would like advice on what bike to get

i have been looking at talon 0 $1100, xtc for 1500, the 29 talon for 1100, and i have been looking at the trance and anthem bikes as well as 29 composite bike that is about 2500.

so i would like some advice is worth spending extra 1000 on say something 29 composite giant bike.

also people with these bikes think that they worth the money they paid for them. i don't want spend 2500 then find that have replace the wheel set cause there cheap crap.

It seems as if most of the complaints on giant bikes are heavy wheelsets and low end forks. So far my stock wheelset feels solid as a rock and I havent noticed any kind of give. Granted large drops around here are few and far between and my 4 inch travel bike isnt going off to many large drops anyways, but still.

    ok cool no worries

yer it seems to me bike companies getting more greedy some bike looked at still have very low end brake on bike worth 3000 new. so i was trying to avoid spending that much on a bike that may as well throw the brakes in the bin.
