Took delivery of my '08 XTC1 and took her out for the first ride today. So far I'm loving the bike. I feel much more confident than I did on my improperly sized Anthem.
Upgrades on the XTC1 include quite a few parts off the Anthem (REBA fork, cranks, FSA BB, seat post, wheelset, tires, etc). My XTC came with hydraulic Hayes brakes, but I opted for the Juicy Three's off the Anthem. The Hayes brake levers just felt weird to me for some reason. The XTC1 weighs in at just a tad over 27lbs...not too terrible for an XL frame.
My only plans for immediate future upgrades are a new set of brake pads. Other than that, she stays as she is.
