    Metalic sound

I've bought a '04 giant vt frame. After a while of riding i have noticed that, if i lift a rear end of my bike a little, and then let it hit the ground a metalic sound can be heard. I've traced that sound to (most probably) to lower shock bushing. When i disassembly them, the bushing rattles a little in shock eye. Is this normal ? Did giant used wrong size bushing ? If so is it safe to ride with whem ? Thanks for any input.

Are you sure you not hearing the chain slap on your frame?
Do you have access to a pair of callipers to measure the exact size and fit of your bushings?
I made a titanium shaft for my vt for the mounts for the rear shock, its lighter and stronger

I'm now 99% positive that my frame has wrong size bottom shock bushing.
