I ordered an XTC2 but should I switch to an NRS2?

I ordered an XTC2 cause i found a great price for it but then found out later that I could get an NRS2 w/o disc brakes for $50 more. Should I cancel the order and make the switch? I havent tried out the NRS2 yet and I will but i just wanted to get peoples opinion first . I am a total newbie to mountain biking and i plan to ride easy trails for now since i am totally out of shape. What would you guys get?

I say go for the NRS if it's only $50 more. I started off with Giant Boulder SE... a month later I went to a NRS. Look at it this way in the long run you wouldnt have to upgrade to a full suspension later on when you get better.

i just weighed my 04.5 and its 27lbs even in stock trim minus reflectors. For the $140 in price, you are getting a solid frame that is light weight with a great anti bob suspension design. You can easily spend more then $140 just trying to lighten up a heavier bike. Good luck with your decision.

I think it depends on if you race or not or just plan on riding around town quite a bit. If thats in your plans then I would stick with the XTC. If you plan on hitting some rougher type trails then maybe the NRS
