Giant Bikes 2018 (Rumors, Predictions, Discussion)

Questions persist about a new Anthem 29er. Rumors persist as well, most recently that a complete redesign called "epic killer" will be available as a 2018 bike.

I'd still like to see something like a Trance 29er come back.

New year models coming, new rumors, new wants. What will we see?

Not expecting much from Giant, every year seems to be a let down. Was super excited to get the Advanced 27.5+ SS this year until I got it and they had the stupid wedge for a seatpost clamp, rode it one time and stopped every 100 feet to raise the post back up. Still have not figured out to keep it in place. Selling it if anyone interested, 5 miles of use.
    MAGA!

I'd like to see a new Anthem 29er, as talked about in another thread here and this article:

If not I'll just get the 27.5.

I'm saving for the new Anthem 29er already. If it's what my imagination thinks it's going to be, it will be perfect

    I'll say this:

The 2017 Anthem 29er I have VS the 2013 frames I had, the 2017 is better. The only visible/obvious changes are the top tube being wider where it meets the seat tube and the 142x12 TA rear, and I'd say most of what I feel is the rear being stiffer - no, I feel it being less deflected - going down off camber slightly rocky trails. So if they continue the theme somehow, I'm sure it will be good bike. My problem with the Anthem, ultimately, is that it's still an XC bike, which is great, if that's what you're after, but I want to see a solid Trail 29er from Giant too.
