    Giant AC iscg chainguide mounts

    Hey all,
could someone please shed some light on what iscg mounts are on an 2005 model giant ac. Not sure whether its normal iscg or iscg 05. I'm in need of a single ring chainguide so your help would be appreciated.

    Cheers sanger

The AC guide mounts only work with the guide that came with the bike. You'll have to use the ISCG adapter plate that fits behind the bottom bracket to mount your new guide.

SANGER - i feel your pain man!

I dunno what Giant were doing when they designed those tabs...

There's one guide (as The Rose) stated that'll work with the frame tabs. Personally, I took a grinder to my frame, removed the tabs and had the e.13 adapter permanantly welded to my frame around the BB.

I can stil swap out BBs when I need to and the adapter won't get loose and spin around the BB itself.

When I was convinced this had worked properly, I fitted an e.13 LG1 - for my money, this is THE best guide I've used in over 8 years of cycling
