    Fox Polymer DU Bushing Question

    I have a 2008 Trance X2/original RP2 Fox shock......I need to replace the DU/Upper bushing (again)

Has anyone tried this new style polymer bushing kit? Is it worth switching to?

I cannot find this bike on the Fox Website to reference the bushing kit part number......anyone out there have it?

    Thanks in advance!

I e mailed Fox and got a reply back, my 08 Trance X2 polymer upper DU bushing kit is part# 803-03-143

Anyone use this new bushing kit yet?

    Any comments on it?

I just put this bushing on the top and bottom of an RP23 on my 2011 Niner RIP9 today. Seems to be fine on the test ride.

Like the idea that the swap will be much simpler the next time. And hopefully that is a good while if these last a lot longer as Fox claims.

I have to agree the new bushing did feel a little better. Also could just be because I was used to the spent one...

I called just about every bike shop in the Raleigh, NC area and no one had these in stock yet. Only one shop was even familiar with this new design. It is certainly worth it to order these (pricepoint for me...) and get them put on. Now hopefully they really do last longer than the "old" DU bushing.

You could go down this path which I've heard work pretty well
    Needle Roller Bearings
Fourth one down, I am looking at buying another giant and when it wears out I will install when of these kits.
