    Fox Float RP23 eye-eye length for '08 Trance X0?

I am trying to replace the Fox Float RP23 in my gf's 2008 trance X0. It seems that the shock has a 7.25" eye-eye length, but a (Used) replacement RP2 shock that I bought from eBay seems to be a little longer 7.5". Is the correct stock shock length 7.25"? What will happen if I use the slightly longer shock?

    Fox Float RP23 eye-eye length for '08 Trance X0?

I remember seeing a pretty long thread in the Giant forum here about running a longer shock. If you search you should find it. I think someone found a replacement shock with the correct length as well.

I found this to be the most useful thread in my recent quest to update my rear shock:

As noted in that thread, you'll need an offset bush for the upper eyelet of the shock - then you can run a 7.5" x 2". Most shock specialists will sell these bushes in the right size to suit the Giant.
