Did Giant change the Talon 0 29er mid season?

I just noticed on the Giant website that there's been an updated version of the 2013 Talon 0 29er now with the title (V-2) with many different parts.

I bought mine 2 months back and just curious if they're changing due to parts that were problematic or something.

There is a good possibility that what you're seeing there is actually the 2014 bike. They've released the 27.5 Talon which is a 2014 model, so they may have the updated spec for the 29er as well. I'm not aware that any of the parts on the Talon were problematic in any way, beyond the fact that my experience has been they're mostly "entry level".

After a little research, the new parts don't appear to be an upgrade in any way. More of just a swap.
Thanks for your reply Cotharyus. I suspect you're right about changing the spec because of the 17.5. So far I haven't seen anything about the 2014 29er. Maybe that's why.
