    Custom Carbon Trance SX Build

So about a month ago I purchased an Anthem Advanced 1 27.5

I loved the bike so much I decided to buy a Trance SX frame with the Float X shock, and build up a custom bike in addition to the Anthem

So far I have the frame

I went with a set of 27.5 American Classic Wide Lightening wheels. Shimano Ice Tech rotors 203 front 180 rear

For the Drive train I got X01 with carbon cranks, and switched out the standard spider with a Wolf Tooth 30t ring which should shave around 100+ grams. XT brakes.

I'm currently waiting on a 150mm Solo Air Pike, a Reverb Stealth post. The cockpit will be a 50mm Thompson stem, Easton Havoc carbon 750mm bars. Tires will be some mix of Continental Protection tires TBD, and pedals will most likely be Hope F20s.

Will post more pics and a review as it gets built up

That'll be a very fun bike to ride. If I was going to get another bike, I think I'd definitely go that direction. I'd do a few different things in the build but hey, I like what you've done.

So I built the bike up yesterday I'm still waiting on a reverb stealth, a Conti trail king 2.4 front tire and a couple other parts but I had some spare parts at home to get her built

As it sit it weighs 27lbs on the nose

Took the bike out today for fun 25 mile 4500 foot shake down ride, and I have to say this bike is gonna ROCK!!!!!!

I'm still sick with a head cold so couldn't push it too hard but I could tell this bike wants to get rowdy the moment it gets pointed down hill

Will post more once I get more time on the bike!

So sick! Makes me wish I would have waited on buying my TX29 when they first came out.

I might have been temped to put a 160 Pike on it, but otherwise my build would look very similar. Anyone want a killer deal on a decked out TX29?

Did you happen to weigh the frame w/shock before the build?
