Amazing how good it looks with clean/internal cable routing.

650B clearly now appears to be on GIANTS agenda. The first pic is very REIGN like.

But what about these shorter travel 650B prototypes pictured below?

A revised version of the ANTHEM x in 650B perhaps, maybe a TRANCE x650B as well?

I've been saying for so long that the path to 650b for Giant was so clearly to build a Carbon 650b Reign X that the owner of my LBS sent me a tweet about this stuff coming to light saying he was going to recommend me for a PR job at Giant. I wonder if he can get that done fast enough to get me an employee discount on one of these beasts when they first come out?

Looks to be a shorter travel model versus the first picture in the thread. Wonder if both travels will be availible for purchase stock

Craig's version looks to be made of alu. You can clearly see the welds on the front triangle.

All the others seems to have alu swingarms with carbon front triangles.

Even though I've got a new Banshee Spitfire V2 frame coming in (of course to run with 650B) a Giant Reign 650 in carbon is a freaking lust for bike IMHO. Maestro rocks (even though the New Banshee VPP KS Link has surprisingly similar kinematics and very different from the SC or Intense VPP and why in my eyes it's better) and this was the bike I was really hoping for in aluminum actually so the carbon is sweet icing on the cake. Nice updates also with the 12x142 axle, ISCG tabs etc. Now just hang a new 150mm Pike on the front and yowzah.

In my case I couldn't wait and needed a bike to ride ASAP and the pricing will be most likely to much for my wallet to handle. Also Giant will probably not do a frame only option which really sucks. Hopefully production models get introduced at Sea Otter because to me they look way beyond prototype stage.

Sort of off topic, but anyone have an idea if those chain stay protectors on this prototypes are an off the shelf item and if so, what are they? They've got a fairly clean look to me...

Really like the LT version. Should be easier on the wallet than a Bronson

Pulled the brakes on Ripley... and even for a Bronson! <3 27.5 TX! I don't mind at all that the rear triangle is aluminum.
