I'm running a dropper seat post on my Trance 29er x1 as that is what came on it. So far, I haven't seen the need to change it. The first few rides I actually forgot it was there and didn't utilize it. I've since been using it more as the opportunities present themselves.

I've also got one on my 2013 trance x1. The more I ride, the more useful I find it. In normal scenarios where you could get away with leaving the seat up, the remote dropper just gives you the flexibility to drop and move around more. It was one if the reasons I went for the x1 over the x2 and I'm glad I did it.
