    1,360.00 GBP = 1,966.04 USD
How much are they in the US out of interest? RRP?

    Hey Chilledsandwich
You purchased you X1 for $1966.04 US?? Tha't a helluva deal! Nice work!

X1's are listed at $3550.00 US on the Giant site.
X2's are listed at $2900.00 US. There's an X2 at my LBS for $2700. I bought mine from them for even less than that.

sfmoto39, I'd say that if you could get an X2 for $2600, you're doing well. I'm under the impression that they're having no problems moving X2s though, but it is wintertime and cash talks. A good time to buy. Good luck!

They were listed at 1600 ($2,320.01 USD) but I managed to get them to knock the VAT (Value Added Tax - 15%) off so that got it down to 1360. I am so happy with the bike, definitely recommend it!

Should probably add that I bought a Giant Defy 2.5 (XL) at the same time and got the VAT off that as well. 675 ($979.19 USD ) down to 573.75 ($832.307 USD).

Have had an Specialized Enduro SL for a while, but am planning to enter one of the Merida Marathon events later this year, so have bought the Anthem to practise and race on, and then the Defy to help build up my fitness.

J E James Cycles in the UK are selling the Anthem X2 at 1360. Get in touch and see how much it would cost to import it.

    Nice job!
I love mine. I'm not riding my 29er much at all now. Getting an Arch/XTR/Supercomp wheelset built up for it. The XT components shift better than my SRAM stuff, but I like an uncluttered handlebar (and flat, too), so I'm sticking with the SRAM stuff for now.

08 Anthem 2 for $1199 here. I would look for a 08 model right now, there seem to be alot of places unloading the 08's in a big way right now.

I'm going to the lbs tomorrow to try and decide between a Trance X2 and an Anthem X2. They have a sale on the Anthem this week for $2599. I was dead set on a Trance but dam that Anthem is light and has a sweet build kit.

Just picked an Anthem X2 up for $2465. The bike shop was running a one day 15% of sale. The list price was $2900. I know a bike shop an hour away that will order one for $2350.
